Jon and Kate Gosselin's "Big Announcement" Planned For Monday's Episode

Slow Week In The Tabloids?

So we are all wondering--What's the announcement? Divorce? Separation? Marriage Counseling? The last episode? (no-there's that little contract).. or maybe it is Ashton Kutcher jumping out announcing the audience has been punked?

Beginning today, Thursday, June 18, TLC began airing promos for next Monday's episode of Jon and Kate + 8, billing it as an hour long special. (see promo above)

In an overdub, Kate states the family has made decisions that will affect every family member, but will hopefully bring peace.

Jon and Kate's 10th wedding anniversary was June 12. The couple were not together. Kate was at the "Kon-pound", while Jon ventured back to New York.

According to Radar Online, Jon is filing divorce papers next week.

Now, usually I would believe this if the papers had already been filed--you know, public record.
However, Radar is stating that Jon is also seeing Hailey Glassman, daughter of Dr. Glassman (aka "Dr.Kate's Free Tummytuck").

This speculation came over Memorial Day weekend when Kate plus 8, plus sitter, plus bodyguard, vacay'ed 2 weeks on posh Bald Head Island, NC, sans Jon. Jon, however, was seen venturing around New York, hitting the bars, and was spotted and photographed with Mrs. Glassman and Hailey.

We have gone a few tabloids minus the Gosselin drama in the past week, so I am chalking up this "announcement" to gain more media fodder and exploitation of the kids, as the show's ratings are slowly dropping.

TLCs website also has "Kate's Blog". The blogging community has dubbed the blog as the "Fake Kate Blog" and it is presumed that the blog is being written by a "ghostwriter".

Kate once professed on her own personal website to post a daily devotion for the entire year. She managed to post less than a dozen.

TLC is allowing pro and anti Gosselin comments to be posted, only after being moderated. However, it is suspiciously clear that the Jon bashing posts far outnumber those that are anti-Kate.

Announcements, blogs, photos, whatever, my concern is when is PA Dept. of Labor going to initialize their investigation and provide the results? hmm..maybe that is the "announcement"...

Whatever the announcement...I continue to stand firm on "Team Eight" (Gosselin kids) and pray they are taken from in front of the cameras and that the selfishness of their parents do not do permanent damage to them, if it hasn't already.

Summer Savers - Tuesday Tips

Summer cooking is one way to spend quality family time together

Summer of 2009, is quickly becoming the summer of "stay-cations".

More and more families are nixing their vacations and opting for "stay-cations"--staying at home and creating "home family-time" and "backyard getaways".

While this trend is booming, it is certain that families are also searching for ways to save money all around the house.

Starting today, with "Tuesday Tips", you can find ways to slash summer expenses with energy-efficient tips.

Some postings will also include easy, economical, summer fun outings and options to the regular "Summer Vacation".

It's Summer! So take a few minutes from the sun and fun and see how you can make this the best summer ever!

Today's Tuesday Tip:

The Kitchen:

* Cool It.

Because your refrigerator has to work harder to cool down warm food--which wastes energy--allow leftovers to sit on the counter before placing in the fridge. Avoid the growth of dangerous bacteria by setting a timer for 30 to 45 minutes to alert you when your food has reached the right temperature. Do not leave food out longer than two hours.

Adjust Your Cooking Schedule:
Make your meals in the early morning or early evening, when outside temps are likely to be cooler. By doing so, you avoid heating your house during the hottest hours of the day -- not to mention the additional heat by cooking, and oven/stove temperatures -- . This will also keep your energy bills in check.

* Fill Your Freezer:
A half empty freezer expends extra energy to chill the unused space. Store bags of ice -- or homemade juice pops, juice ice cubes, or freezer pops -- in any vacant spots. Another economical idea is to make a double portion of the meal your are preparing* - such as lasagna - and freeze the second dish. This will also take up space, as well as have a dinner already prepared to pop in the oven when time is short, or to just give extra family time together.

*Make sure, however, the meal you prepare is freezer to oven friendly. Casseroles, lasagna, and soups are great for this.

Buy In Bulk
I also l buy ground beef/chuck in bulk when on sale. I pat out several burger patties, placing each patty between waxed paper --making two layers-- then freeze both layers in 2 gallon size freezer bags. The waxed paper makes for easy removal of the frozen patties.

No need to thaw-the patties can go straight from freezer to grill. Add your favorite condiments, a fruit salad or mixed berries and you have quick summer lunch and/or supper.

* Cut Power Use
Cook with your microwave whenever you can--it consumes up to 65% less energy than your oven!

I truly ope you have enjoyed the first installment of Tuesday Tips and Summer Savers!

Look for more super summer ideas this week!

Kate Plus Bikini Minus Jon: Kate Gosselin's Memorial Day Weekend Pictures

Kate and Nannie Plus Kids at Bald Head Island, NC Memorial Day 09
Kate Rocks Bikini During Romp w/Kids At Beach
Kate Gosselin, the kids, the nannie, and Mr. Gray, all spent Memorial Day weekend at Bald Head Island, NC.
Jon was spotted in NY with two women, who have since been reported to be Dr. Glassman's wife and daughter. Dr. Glassman is the surgeon who performed Kate's free tummy tuck at the beginning of the Jon and Kate + 8 series.
It is also being reported that Jon dropped $2,000 during a shopping spree with the women, which included $500 on a purse for one of the Glassman ladies. Guess Jon was "giving back" for Kate's free tummy tuck.
